Welcome to the LCD Televisions page, LCD televisions are great for use with
home cinema systems if you wish to have a quite small television, LCD televisions
are better for smaller screens with plasma televisions being better for the
bigger screens. LCD televisions do come is very small sizes but these are
not recommended for home cinema as they are too small to properly enjoy a
film on, the minimum size we would suggest would be 20 inches in widescreen
format but this obviously depends on your budget.
There are a few things to look out for when buying an LCD television for home
cinema use, the widescreen LCD televisions are much better for films so this
is something to consider. The screen size is also important, you should get the
largest screen that you have room for and can afford but if you go to around
30 inches it is better to get a plasma screen as they perform better at the larger
sizes, for screen sizes between 20 and 30 inches LCD televisions are great for
home cinema use and look very sleek and cool. There are also features that are
often included with LCD televisions including speakers although we highly recommend
using a proper home cinema package to get the most from your home entertainment
system, some also have Freeview included which allows access to digital television
for free.
